TOP 5 CLASSIC LOUIS VUITTON BAGS
Whether you’re looking to make your first Louis Vuitton purchase or you’re a long time collector, it’s important to know which bags have stood the test of time and will likely continue to do so for years to come.
Louis Vuitton has a long and great history establishing it as a fashion powerhouse and well respected brand. A great way to sustainably enjoy fashion is by taking a slow-fashion approach and purchasing with the intention of having the item for many years to come, so this guide is all about celebrating some of the bags that Louis Vuitton have released that have stood the test of time.

SPEEDY
The iconic Speedy is first to kick-off the list. Some may argue that this is the most well known bag by Louis Vuitton and there’s a high chance that this bag was worn by many of your favourite celebrities once upon a time.
The speedy dates back many years, having first been introduced in 1930! Throughout its history, there have been small updates to its design in addition to releases of the bag in multiple sizes. Currently, in 2021 nearly 100 years after its initial release the bag can be purchased in 4 different sizes making it extremely versatile to fit the needs of many people.
NOE

A vintage favourite is the Noé Bag, which interestingly was designed on request of a winemaker in 1932 for the purpose of carrying champagne bottles – hence the shape. Since its release this drawstring bucket bag has aged in the most timeless way, and bucket bags are still as popular today as they were many moons ago. This is a great bag to purchase new or vintage with confidence that it will last for years to come and can be handed down to family/friends.
NEVERFULL
The Louis Vuitton Neverfull is one of the more recent releases by Louis Vuitton with its introduction in 2007.
Despite it being a relative newbie the Neverfull became an instant hit and thus deserves a spot in the top most classic Louis Vuitton bags. I love this handbag for its practicality, it’s a great everyday bag to wear to work and it really lives up to its name as the space means its rarely ever full.
ALMA
The Alma is global favourite, with a paparazzi-heavy history. Over various decades this bag has been worn by numerous celebrities from Rihanna to Alexa Chung and of course we must mention when both Paris Hilton & Kim Kardashian were photographed rocking matching Alma’s in complementary gold & silver colours.
KEEPALL
Finally we have the Keepall. I was slightly hesitant to add this to the list because it’s technically not a handbag, but it’s such an iconic accessory that it deserves a place on this list. If bouji-travel style were ever defined in the dictionary, this bag is likely to be referenced. The Keepall is instantly recognised and speaks for itself, and interestingly its said that the Keepall spurred the release of the speedy 25 – they designed the speedy as a smaller, everyday version.
